Internationalisation
In July 2023, the CB Canarias Foundation launched a summer programme in Romania. In addition to its repeated presence in Bucharest, in 2025 it made its debut in Cluj-Napoca, the country’s second most populous city after the capital.
Romania has thus witnessed the progress of the project to internationalise the Aurinegro methods and its work philosophy. But there are more examples of this journey beyond Spain’s borders.
In October 2024, the CB Canarias Foundation participated in the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP), the US State Department’s flagship professional exchange programme. Managing Director Federico García Soto visited the United States on behalf of the Foundation.
The group of guests accompanying the manager, representatives of prominent national institutions, were able to share the European perspective and engage in enriching conversations.
The programme began in Washington with a visit to the Department of State, where information was provided on the content and importance of the programme to be developed. This was followed by visits to the cities of New Orleans, Colorado Springs and Portland, ending in New York.
During the tour, the group visited George Washington University, the Olympic and Paralympic Training Centre in Colorado Springs, the University of Colorado, Oregon State University, and the equality, equity, and diversity department of the NBA Trail Blazers team, among other places.
