Promotion and dissemination
Since its inception, the CB Canarias Foundation has been committed to promoting and disseminating its values, as another way of giving back to society for all it has given to the organisation. As the custodian of CB Canarias’ corporate social responsibility, the black-and-gold foundation collaborates on numerous projects and events.
Its link with FES La Laguna has been very important, jointly organising a conference on “Rare Diseases” and another on “Racism and Xenophobia in Sport”, in addition to several editions of the Laguncesto activity.
We collaborate with AECC and ÁMATE. Both organisations set up information stands in the inner ring of the Santiago Martín Pavilion during first team matches, as part of their cancer awareness campaign.
We also collaborate with ADT through the “Healthy Basket” initiative, a game aimed at children, also in the inner ring of the Santiago Martín Pavilion, designed as a way of reminding them of the importance of healthy lifestyle habits such as physical exercise, healthy eating and weight and stress control to prevent diabetes.
The Foundation attends many events organised by Elaborado en Canarias. Examples include the various inclusive campuses organised by the Foundation, as well as visits to schools as part of the “Visibility of inclusive and adapted basketball” project. Naturally, Margui offers her healthy lifestyle workshops at these events, which sometimes include making natural juices with local products, which are then given to those present to taste.
The Foundation also gives talks in schools and colleges, as well as responding to requests from local councils, associations and others to spread its message and policies.
