The Foundation and Santa Cruz ADEIN Tenerife have enjoyed a fruitful relationship since 2022, which has resulted in various social and sporting initiatives and projects. Among other initiatives, the Canarian Foundation sponsors the ADEIN wheelchair basketball team, which was promoted to the First Division in the 22/23 season, reached the final four of the silver category in 23/24, and made the leap to the Super League, the highest category of this adapted sport in Spain, in 24/25.
The Foundation also sponsors the CD ADDIN (Association for Social Dynamisation and Inclusion) team, which regularly participates in the Baloncesto Sin Límites (Basketball Without Limits) league, a mixed senior competition for mental health teams organised by the Canarian Basketball Federation.
In 2022, the Foundation and CD ADDIN signed a collaboration agreement that has been extended over time. Since then, they have been working together to help integrate people with special abilities through sport, in this case basketball.
